Breeders Award Program

The NJAS Breeders Award Program recognizes members who spawn and raise fish, with five goals in mind:

  1. To recognize the achievements of NJAS breeders.
  2. To promote NJAS member involvement in breeding fishes and other aquatic organisms.
  3. To gather and disseminate information on breeding.
  4. To make fish available to NJAS members.
  5. To improve availability of selected species from time to time by providing incentives to members.

Look up your species

Type a genus, a species, or just a family name — matches are ranked most-specific first.

Searches 287 rules transcribed from the official BAP handbook's point table.

Can't find your species, or think a match is wrong? Email the BAP contact → — this especially matters for anything marked first breeding, since those points only apply if no NJAS member has bred it before, and that live status isn't tracked here.

Find a breeder

See who in the club has already bred a species — good people to ask before you start.

Not seeing anyone, or want to ask directly? Email the board → or browse member profiles on AquaristSpecies.net — someone may be keeping or working on it even if they haven't submitted for BAP points yet.

Where everyone stands

Computed automatically from logged spawns — nothing here is hand-totaled. (Names and numbers below are illustrative until real BAP records are loaded in.)

See a number that looks wrong, or don't see yourself listed? Email the BAP contact →

Universal Submission Form

Same form used for both BAP and GAP — bring it when your fish go up for auction.
